eHarmony Mass Email

November 09, 2006

As usual I received a random email from eHarmony.com… and before you ask I did not sign up for eHarmony, I’m very happily married. So… for those of you who might not know what eHarmony is, It’s a site where you can meet “your soulmate.” Hence the harmony and zen.

I’m not implying that eharmony is a bad thing or those who use it are destined to failure, nor am I mocking it. I like to think that it helps people find someone. With that said… back to the email.

The thing to notice is the subject line of the email and so I also captured a more detailed picture. eharmony closeup

Now, taking into consideration what eharmony is (and I have not read this email since it might spoil everything for me…) I have to ask a few questions, the big one being “what exactly do I get 3 of?” I won’t get into the questions that follow since probably that’s best left alone.

A little clarification like “3 profiles for the price of 1” or “3 email addresses for the price of 1” or even “3 months for the price of 1” would have made it so much easier to keep from possible jokes about eharmony endorsing multiple marriages.

I hate to say it bro, but if eHarmony has dubbed that you still need to be looking for your soulmate, well – can’t bode well for the marriage. On the other hand, perhaps eHarmony is full of hot air.

Yeah Nathan, I would say you have a point there. Probably they just didn’t get the memo that I was “off the market.” However, if they are endorsing multiples I would say there is a really big problem.
