Temuco
October 18, 2007

Well, it finally happened, we adopted another dog yesterday. His name is Temuco and he’s a Siberian Husky. We haven’t had a chance to take him anywhere other than our backyard and so the pictures aren’t exactly what I was hoping for. They are photos however, and I’m sure I’ll have plenty of time to add photos of him later.

Temuco is an interesting choice in a name, I think. Kerry came up with it, well she suggested it anyway. Temuco is a city we visited for a project in February of 2007, the name seemed fitting to both of us and so it stuck. In these photos he is about 7 weeks old.

He’s a smart dog, maybe a little stubborn. We hadn’t even had him for an hour and he was already borrowing our car to drive to Starbucks. (This photo was taken by Kerry)

Thanks Nathan and Olga, we’re really excited about it. We saw his father the other night and it was just haunting. There’s something really intimidating and really beautiful about the blue eyes on a full grown dog. One of my co-workers here described it as “soul piercing.†I’d say he’s not far off.

AWWWW!!! How cute! Now our number is … well, proably not complete but at least rounded off for now. Five grandchildren and five grand-doggies!
So welcome to the family, little Muco! You and Titus be nice to each other!

Titus has been a good sport about it all, for the most part anyway. They were playing a little last night and the night before but I don’t think Titus really knows what to do about Temuco. I think he thinks Temuco is a skunk or something.

You all are pleasantly nutty! My little zoo is asking for more pics of your adorable doggie. I think you’re a bit off your rocker with your increasing animal farm, but then again, I am the former anti-pet with a little doggie I let in the house! :) Can’t wait to see you guys!

I’ll see what I can do about the more photos request. We’ll probably take some this weekend and I’ll “hook you guys up” when we come to visit. Of course, that’s what I always say, right?

So beautiful. My wife said: “That’s a surreal dog!” Congrats.
